The current economic and regulatory environment in India needs effective law to suit the changing needs of companies. Constant efforts are being made to amend and adapt the laws to suit the demands of modern times. The existing companies Act 1956 has been amended several times to bring about changes required under present situations. As per records the present act has been amended 78 times to bring changes.
